This show was presented to me as an internship at Salt Lake Acting Company. It was my first experience in the professional world as an Assistant Stage Manager. I was to assist during rehearsals taking line notes and blocking notes as well as doing all of the prop tracking. During the run of the show I gave time warnings to the cast, was back stage assisting in prop hand offs and costume changes. I was also the liaison between the Stage Manager and the House for pre show as well as during intermission.
This show was a valued learning experience and is one that I will remember always. I learned what it is like to work as an assistant stage manager for a professional theatre. I gain a larger network with now having connections not only with those at Slat Lake Acting Company but also with the designer and the director that I got the opportunity to work with.
Prop tacking and shift paper work were the focus of this assistantship. Also included below is line notes, blocking, and rough cues.
